COVID-19

As of March 25, 2020, Brazoria County has issued a “Stay Safe at Home Order” due to the large potential spread of COVID-19.  It was originally to end on April 3rd but has now been extended to April 30, 2020. Below is the summary of the order as posted on the Brazoria County Website at www.brazoriacountytx.gov.

“Summary: The virus that causes 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is easily transmitted through person to person contact, especially in group settings, and it is essential that the spread of the virus be slowed to protect the ability of public and private health care providers to handle the influx of new patients and safeguard public health and safety. Because of the risk of the rapid spread of the virus, and the need to protect the most vulnerable members of the community, this Order requires all individuals anywhere in Brazoria County to stay at home except for certain essential activities and work, to provide essential business and government services, or perform essential public infrastructure and construction, including housing. This Order takes effect at 6:00 p.m. on March 26, 2020, and will continue through 11:59 p.m. on April 3, 2020, subject to the limited exceptions and under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth below.”

Update on Book Box

Good news.  We have confirmation of where to place the book box.  It will be in the subdivision park, and we will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony coming up in the next couple of weeks.  We will update you on the location and time, so please feel free to attend if you like.

Book Box Finding a Home

Congratulations on our Book Box finding a happy home.  The Homeowner’s Association of a nearby subdivision has agreed on the placement of our Book Box in their subdivision.  They are still deciding which of the two locations will be the site, but we are hoping the Book Box will be placed before the holidays. As more information becomes available, we will keep you posted.
